alright! it's actually quite a simple job.
but not everyone will be willing to do it..=D
job scope of kennel helpers:
sweep the kennel area..dry their homes..feed them..
and non other than clean their shit and pee pee..geeX=)
after everything's done,
volunteers get the previlege to play with them inside the cages!(visitors are not allowed to do so..hehe)
=D it's fun! frenly little ones..
this is the first time i'm having such close contact with so mani types of dogs..including German Shepherd (Tika) and Labradors (big and tiny)!

cos' SPCA can only survive through donations and not a SINGLE CENT from the
government!omg..but at least it's clean enough..it just looked old..
n fyi, abandoned dogs have 80% chance of being put to sleep when they are sent to spCa..reason being spcA z simply just too small to accomodate so mani dogs..was told that they have thousands comin in every year and they onli have 30+ cages!
so think twice b4 adopting those in the cage cos they might not be as lucky as the first time to be placed back the next time round they are sent back..
one more thing is tt "dogs that are in these cages won't be put to sleep..they will be there until the day they are being adopted"!spCa emphasised greatly on this cos there are rumours all over saying otherwise..*tupid*
and the staff actually told us that he don't buy dog products from pet shops that sells dogs..why?
cos' in singapore the government do not control the number of pets being imported in..plus..MOST(not all i mean) petshops onli care abt their profit!the more they sell the happier they get..thus more dogs faced the problem of being abandoned..*saddies* this z just a personal opinion..depends on how you look at it ba..=D
puppies are lovely..but when they grow real big..some tupid ppl abandon them beacuse they are not cute anymore..some ppl are so

some bring their dogs to spca and the reasons they gave were:
"this cat damaged my furniture.i don't wan it anymore.."
even worse, "my dog is sick..bringing it to the vet cost me a lot..i don't wan it". cruel isn't it?they only have 20% of chance surviving once it is sent to spCa!!

but there are still fortunate ones..
